Anita from Gulbene

Anita Birzniece, Education specialist - deputy head of the Department of Education, culture and sport of Gulbene Municipality Council will lead the partnership of Municipality in the project. Anita has more than 14 years work experience in the field of formal and non-formal education and in the current position is leading the methodical work of the educational institutions and work with the educational projects in the Gulbene municipality.

"I believe in non-formal education, because I see that to develop the modern learning environment and process it is important to integrate all learning forms – formal, non-formal and informal. To build the contemporary learning environment it is important to use modern learning approaches. We can’t learn or teach with 100 years old approaches and methods nowadays.

I believe that the best learning is by doing, by adventures and personal and collective experience. This Project will provide wider possibilities to explore and to make practically useful opportunities offered by formal and non-formal education" (Anita Birzniece)
